Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday night, but Huntsville was stronger as they defeated Dayton 3-0. Jaelynn duke started the game for the Hornets and recorded 21 outs.

Duke struck out 10 batters on the day allowing 3 hits on zero runs over 7 innings of work. Huntsville got on the baord in the first when Katie Vonrosenberg hit a sacrafice fly scoring Duke from third base.

Hutsville scratcheda gain in the second as Aasiss McHale singled on a full count scoring one more. The Hornets piled up 10 hits in the game and McHale & Vonrosenberg were a force together in the lineup as they each collected two hits for Huntsville. Emily Zunker, Vonrosenberg, and McHale each drove in one run for the Hornets.

Huntsville was sure handed and did not commit a single error.
