The Huntsville Hornet Varsity Boys golf team took first place at Moody Garden edging out 14 other teams. The team shot a season best score of 299. The varsity boys have been setting new personal records all season as things are heating up on the links. Tommy Angel was first place medalist outright shooting a personal best in tournament play of three under par 69. This is the lowest individual score posted by a Hornet in over 6 years. Tommy's four teammates for this tournament were Kason Doss in fourth place with a 74, Talon Thomason in 8th place with a 76, Cobbe Butler in 19th place with an 80 and Luke Galvan with a 105. Our next varsity boys outing will be on November 30th at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland. When you see us out on the course, be sure to give the young men support and encouragement.
