For more than four decades Coach Trevor Fountain dedicated himself to Huntsville ISD, beginning his career as a bus driver in 1967 before coaching and teaching from 1968 to 2009. At the time of his retirement, he was the longest-serving coach in HISD history and became the first inductee into the Hornet Hall of Fame. He was part of three state championship teams, earned six District Coach of the Year honors, and led HHS Girls Basketball to an incredible 229-64 record. He also coached track, cross-country, and nearly every sport offered at Huntsville High School. His greatest legacy is the generations of Hornets he impacted. He has always bled green, and he always will.

That Legacy now lives on through his grandson, MAX, a freshman member of the Green Team at Huntsville High School. Max is part of the next generation of Hornets carrying the Fountain family name and legacy forward. His coaches describe him as “a Huntsville Hornet through and through,” adding that it is special to have generational Hornets like Max and calling him “a phenomenal young man” as he continues to develop alongside his 2030 teammates. From Coach Fountain's decades of service to Max's first steps as a Hornet, the Fountain family represents what it means to carry the Hornet Bloodline from one generation to the next.
