2024-2025 HISD STADIUM MEDIA POLICIES 

We are grateful for the interest and media coverage that the HISD Athletics Department and student-athletes receive from the media community. We are committed to supporting you and ensuring you have a quality experienceTo ensure a quality experience for you, the district, students and coaches, the following policies must be followed. 

Media/Interview Inquiries: All requests to interview an athlete or coach on campus should be directed to the HISD Athletics Department at 936-435-6136 or e-mail Rodney Southern, Athletic Director (rsouthern@huntsville-isd.net) Please do not show up unannounced to campus for an interview or to take photos or videos. 

Media Access to HISD Stadium Events (photography/videography/news/broadcast): All requests for media access to HISD Stadium Events should be directed the HISD Media DepartmentPlease complete the form HERE to request event specific media credentials. Note: Filling out the form does not guarantee a credential, if approved, you will be notified via e-mail. 

The Huntsville ISD Media Department and Athletics Department reserve the right to refuse access or media requests to non-compliant individuals. 

 

Varsity Football (Huntsville ISD Stadium) Media Access 

 

Who should submit a Media Credential Request 

  • Photographers/Videographers – This includes students, professionals, news outlets, TV Stations, and broadcasters. 

 

Media credentials must be requested each week. Requests may be submitted as early as 7:00 a.m. on Monday each week and will conclude 24 hours before each game requested. Submit all requests by completing the credential form at the following link: Credential Request Form 

 

  • A confirmation email will be sent if your credentials are approved for the game(s) requested. 

  • Access to the stadium, field, or press box will only be granted with confirmation of proper credentials. Requested and approved media passes can be picked up at the following stadium locations preceding the contest: 

  • WILL CALL Ticket Booth on the HOME SIDE  

  • Press box access is limited in capacity, with priority given to media outlets that have historically covered our programs. All media members must list the type of access requested when utilizing the above link (press box, field, or stands). 

  • Limited time will be given after the game for postgame interviews. 

  • Only approved photographers/videographers will be allowed access to the field (not press box)Any photographs taken by approved photographers will be made available digitally (1920x1080 HD Quality) for HISD and the Athletic Program free of charge by the Monday following the game. 

  • All Huntsville ISD Varsity games played at HISD stadiums will be streamed live on the 101.7 KSAM YouTube Page and broadcast live on 101.7 FM, KSAM. 

  • Any postgame live shots or setups are to be requested and approved before the end of the day on Tuesday each week. 

  • Sideline access will be limited. Team boxes will be extended from the 25-yard line to the 25-yard line (see diagram). Credentialed photographers and videographers will be allowed to travel from one end of the field to the other through the team box. However, they will not be allowed to remain in the team box. Photos and videos must be taken only from the designated media areas on our stadium media maps.

Varsity Football (Huntsville ISD Stadium) Broadcasts/Streaming 

  • Only TWO (2) broadcast/streams are permitted per game (1 from the home team and 1 from the visiting team) 

  • We have two dedicated radio/broadcast boothsOne is designated for the home team and one for the visitors.   

  • The home team broadcaster is 101.7 KSAMAll Huntsville ISD Varsity Football games played at HISD stadiums will be streamed live on the 101.7 KSAM YouTube Page and broadcast live on 101.7 FM, KSAM. 

  • The visiting team may designate one crew for streaming/broadcast and they are expected to be self contained within the designated space. 

 

Film Deck Access is limited to in-house video production and team recording personnel ONLY. 

 

All credentialed media must agree to follow the UIL Media Policy and the Huntsville ISD Stadium Policies.  Failure to do so, could lead to your access getting revoked.
