Jaelynn Duke drove in 4 runs to lead Huntsville past Kingwood Park on Friday night 8-3. In the 4th inning, Duke hit a grand slam to left field to put the Hornets ahead, and the offense continued to follow throughout the remainder of the game.

Duke Struck out 10 batters in the circle for Huntsville. The righty surrendered 8 hits while allowing 3 runs over 7 innings of work.

Katie Vonrosenberg doubled which helped the Hornets tie the game at the bottom of the first. A single from Vonrosenberg in the bottom of the 3rd inning put the hornets ahead 2-1 at the time, but Kingwood Park would tie it up again.

Huntsville managed to put together 11 hits in the game. Vonrosenberg and Jaz Enriquez each collected multiple hits for Huntsville. Jaelynn Duke went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the way. The Hornets also turned one double play on defense as well.

Next up for the Hornets: Huntsville will hit the road all next week as they travel to take on Nacogdoches on Tuesday and Thursday at Dayton.
