Mag-West got on the board early with a few costly errors in the early in the game by Huntsville. However the Lady Hornets flipped the script in the bottom of the fifth inning when Kali Klawinsky hit a double off of the wall in right centerfield scoring two runs and taking the lead 6-4.

Senior JJ Duke took the win in the circle for the Lady Hornets surrendering, four runs on four hits and six strikeouts. Emily Zunker threw three innings of relief, allowing two runs on two hits and one strike out.

Zunker also provided pop in the middle of the lineup going 2-for-4 at the plate and driving in several runs on the day. Duke also had a great day at the plate with three walks and one hit on the day in her 4ABs.

The Lady Hornets will be back in action this coming week with a home stand starting on Tuesday vs Lake Creek & Bridgeland and playing host to Willis & Livingston on Friday and Saturday!
