A huge shout out to three Lady Hornet Cross Country team members who earned ALL State Academic Awards this November for their outstanding academic achievements.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Hanson, All-State 1st Team Academics, Hannah Heinemann, All-State Elite Academics, and Rosalie Jones, All-State 1st Team Academics! Way to Sting 'Em Ladies!

To be nominated for Academic All-State, a student must be:
* An athlete, student trainer, or manager in good standing with the team
* Of good moral character
* A senior
* Have an overall grade point average of 92 or above (including courses from grades 9-11 and courses completed from grade 12). Weighted GPAs accepted.

The best team a player can make is the Elite Team. It is a great honor to make the Elite team, as a player must have near-perfect scores in all categories. The hierarchy then follows in this order:
1st Team
2nd Team
Honorable Mention

Coach Lehman said, "To see this recognition for these three young ladies makes my heart happy because I know how hard they have worked improving their times on the course and improving their knowledge in the classroom."
